| 2007 Letter from the Maestro | |
|
Dear Music-Loving Friends of The Loveland Orchestra,
The Loveland Orchestra is back again, presenting its 27th season of
amazing orchestral masterworks in a season that I've entitled "Dance,
Dance, Dance!". During the 2007-2008 season, we hope you'll join us for
some of the best dance music written by the world's greatest composers.
Many of the dances will be familiar to you, while others will be new
gems you may not know.
I encourage you to join us starting in October for our annual Halloween-themed concert. The very talented Lisa Fugit joins The Loveland Orchestra in December in the difficult cello concerto by Saint-Saens. Leroy Anderson also makes a reappearance! Our annual Mozart concert returns, this year presented on both a Saturday evening and on Mozart's birthday on a Sunday afternoon. The gifted Daniel Silver, Assistant Professor of Clarinet at the University of Colorado at Boulder, brings Mozart's Clarinet Concerto to life. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to experience the power of Mozart's music in a more informal setting at a great price in honor of the great master! Our March concert features an all Russian program, and our annual Young Artist Concert in April will showcase the brilliant winner of our annual competition.
If you
regularly attend our concerts, I invite you to join us again. And if
you've never been, I encourage you to check us out and see what the City
of Loveland is talking about! With lots of popular and familiar music,
this is a great year to bring a friend.....or two or three, as well as
the entire family! While much of the music this season was written for
moving your feet, you can experience "Dance, Dance, Dance!" and tap your
toes from the comfort of your chair! Thank you from The Loveland
Orchestra for joining us in our exciting 2007-2008 Season!
Most Gratefully Musically Yours,
Luciano R. Silvestri, Jr.
